If you haven’t upgraded your smartphone before making a return to college, OnePlus is now willing to shave 10 percent off the price of its latest flagship, the OnePlus 5. OnePlus says that its products are quite popular among students, and keeping that in mind, the company has launched a new Student Program. As part of this program, the company is offering 10 percent discount on the purchase of the OnePlus 5. But there’s a catch. You’ll have to verify that you’re actually a student to receive the coupon code, but it seems like that’s really all there is to it. Once that step’s done, you can save a bit of money and get yourself a device that very few people on campus will have.

In order to receive the coupon code for the discount, customers have to provide valid proofs to the company. Also, the 10 percent comes off your entire order from the OnePlus web store, so it’s up to you whether to just get a phone by itself or add on some accessories. If you’ve already got a OnePlus handset, I guess you could also use it to save on a spare Dash charger or some cases. It should be kept in mind that this coupon will be valid for only one month after it has been received. However, OnePlus says that students will be able to receive discount codes every following year as well.

To activate this offer users need to follow three simple steps - You will first need to show your student identity by logging into Student Beans to verify your account, and gain access to the Student Program. In case you don’t have an account, visit OnePlus Student Program website, and click on “Login to Student Beans”, click on “REGISTER” icon and enter your details.

 

Once logged in, you will then be able to claim your coupon of discount worth 10 percent. The last step is to hit the claim button present on the page and your 10 percent student discount is now available for use. However, once you have claimed the coupon it will be valid for only one year at oneplus.net.

The company has set a limit to the number of devices a student can order, so the order may only contain a single OnePlus 5 device. As for the accessories like bags, cases, chargers, and t-shirts, there is no limit to how many of these items one student can place in one order.

The offer is open in the United States, Canada, UK, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Netherlands, Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Austria, Belgium, Portugal, Poland, Slovenia, Czech Republic, Croatia, and Hungary. You’ll have a month to use your discount code, but students will be able to redeem the deal once each year while enrolled.
