Got a New android phone - Painless data transfer from your old phone for FREE

It is usually painful when you have to transfer all the data from your old Android phone to a newer one, even though having a google account can help you sync your contacts effortlessly to the new phone just by using the same google account.
There are a few paid apps which will help you in transferring all the data required but that is not the reason for this post as it is for doing the same without incurring any cost that everyone is interested in. We can do the same by just following the steps as mentioned below.
Syncing contacts is the easiest which can be done just by using the same google account used in your old android phone. This gets done automatically once you sign in to your new device with the same account.

Whatsapp

Getting your whatsapp messages, photos, videos can be done just by backing up the same by going to Settings - chats - chat back up - Back up
Once you install whatsapp and you login using the same number, it will provide you option for auto restore of the backed up messages.

Photos

For backing up full resolution photos the best option is by using google photos app. Just go to google photos app - settings - back up & sync - enable back up & sync either with Wi-Fi only or cellular data according to your requirement. once you login into your new device using the same account you can restore all your back up photos in full resolution.

G cloud backup

Or you can just install G cloud back up app from Play store and just enable whatever you want to back up but the catch here is that it is free for backing up data of 1 GB only, once backed up you will need to install the same app in your new phone and login using the same google account. Then all you need to do is sync it and that's all, your backed up data will be available in your new phone and the best part is you can even back up all your messages, call data etc,.
