The Honor 8 Pro will be launched in India in July.
Huawei’s sub-brand, Honor has today announced the Honor 8 Pro in India. As the name suggests, the Honor 8 Pro is an upgrade to the Honor 8, and comes with more features, and better specifications. These include higher battery capacity, a higher RAM, also the device runs on the newer Android 7.0 Nougat OS. The smartphone will be officially launched in the country sometime in July.
Honor 8 Pro specifications and features
Honor 8 pro features a 5.7-inch QHD (1440×2560 pixels) LTPS LCD display and is powered by Huawei’s own Kirin 960 octa-core processor paired with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. There is also an option to further expand the storage via microSD card. The smartphone is fuelled by a 4,000mAh battery. On the software front, it runs on Android 7.0 Nougat with EMUI 5.1 custom skin layered above. Connectivity options include dual-SIM support, rear fingerprint sensor, NFC, USB Type-C, 4G LTE support, and Bluetooth 4.2.
Expected pricing
In European markets Honor 8 Pro is retailed for 549 Euros, which is approximately Rs 38,200, so we expect the smartphone to retail in India around the same price.
